White light contains all the colors the eye can see. All it takes is a prism, a piece of glass, to unleash this potential.
Prismagic is a branding concept proposal for a non-profit company building vision centers in Rwanda, Africa. The concept uses the shape and color of prisms to create a welcoming and clean environment where the visual senses are engaged and way-finding becomes fun.
For the people of Rwanda, access to vision correction is life-changing. Prismagic celebrates this special moment in a colorful way, while paralleling the changes to come.
An oversized prism faces the primary waiting area, pointing toward the dispensary where a patient’s journey ends in frame selection and fitting. Small prisms break away, drifting along the path to the dispensary where polycarbonate panels and dichroic film enhance this special moment with subtle light effects.
The floor plan begins with a waiting area on the shaded clinic porch. From here the patients are processed and make their way through the first waiting area and examination rooms. They finish their journey at the dispensary, designed as a shop-in-shop that can be installed as a standardized feature in any Onesight clinic.
